Ribbon snake, originally uploaded by rolymb.

Our lab dog, Lady, found a snake in the back yard. We caught it and kept it in a small reptile cage we had. After I googled it it seems that it is a ribbon snake (http://www.uga.edu/srelherp/snakes/thasau.htm). After reading about it I decided to let him go in peace :)

Our tent, originally uploaded by rolymb.

We decided to get into camping mode so went to get our camping gear and headed towards Key West. We had such a great time there, although it was super hot the 3 days we spent there but overall I enjoyed spending quality time with wife and kids. We picked Boyds Camp Ground as it was right in Key West. The facility is very clean and the staff super friendly. We spent 1 entire day at Duval Street visiting all the shops there and catching on the Aquarium and other attractions. For some reason the area surrounding the downtown of Key West you see roosters everywhere; on the streets, roaming outside homes, restaurants that are setup to eat outside and even in some shops!

Eggs hunt, originally uploaded by rolymb.

This year we decided not to throw a big Easter bash as previous years where invite friends and family; we have games, food, and all sort of goodies for the kids. Rather, we spent it just the 4 of us and had such a great time. We started by having Ashley and Chris find the Easter basket; then we had them color eggs and do some egg hunt in the back yard and lastly we have a meal! Such peaceful day without the running here and there and stressing when you have people over.

Daylight Saving Time

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by RM on 08-03-2008

At 2 a.m. on March 9, 2008, groggy Americans will turn their clocks forward one hour, marking the beginning of Daylight Saving Time (DST). After all these years I am still not used to this change. What we normally do is set the clock ahead one hour before we go to sleep. I read an artcile that The beginning of Daylight Saving Time is also a perfect time to replace the batteries in your home’s life-saving devices, including smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors - not bad idea. And be careful! Out dated equipment such as VCR’s may need to be manually changed since the rule affecting DST has changed since most of these machines were programmed.

iphone

Now I more excited than ever about having the iphone. The problem was that I was used to the Treo’s third party apps that when I switched to the iphone I knew it would a bit difficult. I do miss applications such as the ability to open aim, msn & yahoo messengers all from one application. Yet the iphone as is offers so much more that I tend to forget these apps. Now they have finally allow developers build native apps using the same SDK Apple uses to build apps on the iphone. The sky is the limits now and I am sure more and more people will have a better reason to switch. Bow to Steve Jobs!!
